Independent educational project — not affiliated with Buffett or Berkshire Hathaway
BuffettGrade is an independent, fan-run educational project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or created by Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., or any of their employees, affiliates, or representatives. The use of Warren Buffett's name refers only to publicly documented investing principles discussed in his letters and interviews, not to any official approval or partnership.
The Buffett name and any associated trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance here is for descriptive and educational purposes only. No endorsement, sponsorship, or association should be inferred.
Not investment advice
BuffettGrade is a research and educational tool. The grades, verdicts, metrics, and commentary shown on this site are not personalized investment, financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. We are not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.
The "Buffett rules" are heuristics
The criteria used on this site are simplified heuristics loosely inspired by publicly available writings and shareholder letters attributed to Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., or any of their affiliates. Real investment decisions made by Mr. Buffett or Berkshire Hathaway rely on judgment, qualitative factors, and information that no automated scorecard can capture.
Data accuracy
Financial data is provided by third-party sources (currently Financial Modeling Prep) and is delivered "as is." The data may be delayed, incomplete, restated, or simply wrong. Free-tier data feeds in particular can be missing years of history or key ratios, which will cause metrics to display as "n/a" or receive an inaccurate verdict. Always verify numbers against primary sources (SEC filings, the company's investor relations site) before making any decision.
Past performance
Historical results shown on this site do not guarantee future results. Investing in securities involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.
No warranty
BuffettGrade is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of this site disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information presented here.
Do your own thinking
As Mr. Buffett himself has often noted, an investor should never delegate their own thinking. Use this tool as a starting point for questions, not as a source of answers.
